Tübinger Mediendozentur 2025 mit Harald Lesch „Die informierte Gesellschaft und ihre Feinde“

As part of the 20th Tübingen Media Lectureship, astrophysicist and bestselling author Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch, one of the country's most renowned scientists, will give a lecture on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in the University's Great Hall (Neue Aula, Geschwister-Scholl-Platz). His lecture, entitled "The Informed Society and Its Enemies," will address how the interplay of populism, social media, and artificial intelligence is changing the concept of truth, the nature of debates, and political conditions—leading to a polarized society governed by hype and hysteria, where finding compromise and consensus in the face of intertwined major crises becomes increasingly difficult.
