Nankang AR-1 Tires: Don't Use On Heavy Horsepower Car!
I am 0 for 2 with the Nankang AR-1 on my 2020 Shelby GT500 CFTP! I had a problem with one of my tires on the first set I took to the track. I thought it was a fluke or a flaw with that specific tire. I bought a 2nd set and had the same problem, this time much worse and on 2 tires! I have not had this problem with any other track tire I have run on my Mustang. It happened with both sets of my Nankangs. I do not recommend these tires for heavyweight horsepower cars! Edit: A Nankang rep recommended camber less than -3.0 degrees in the front to help reduce tire issues.
