Our Property #885 Great haul of wood to unload
Before leaving for vacation, we got a load of crate wood that was still on the trailer. piece by piece, Lee unloaded the trailer and stacked the wood. In 2022, we bought an acre of overgrown land. Since then, we have been clearing it and turning it into a livable homestead. There have been a number of difficulties, challenges and surprises they had no idea they would face. We are building a little village of cottages out of prefab wooden sheds. In one way, the sheds are like tiny homes, however instead of each building being one tiny home, it is more like each building being a room in a home, just spread out. In time, the buildings will all connect via deck walkways and awnings. We trenched for water and electricity, digging out a pond, planting and orchard and learning to garden. At the same time, we are constantly doing the upkeep and repairs as we build new cottages and develop the property. On another note: We are dealing with the animal population. We went from a few stray cats who had kittens, and those kittens had kittens. We are now up to 31 cats/kittens. One by one we are getting them fixed, however we have yet to be able to catch the original strays who are producing the kittens. The one benefit to having cats is our mice and rat population has been taken care of. All in all, the Lord has been with them, and the blessings have been numerous. Join us in our day-to-day work as we get one step closer to our goals. [email protected]
