Every time Peter heard a rooster crow, it was a reminder of his betrayal in denying Jesus during his capture. But the Bible tells us that when Jesus was resurrected, He sought Peter out at the break of dawn—when roosters crow—and upon finding him, He didn't rebuke him for his betrayal, but by His grace forgave him and commissioned him to take the Word to the world. Remember, there is nothing you can do to make God love you more than He loves you, and there is nothing you can do to make Him love you less than He loves you. He loves you just as you are… and every time you hear roosters crow, it will not be a reminder of your guilt, but of His mercy and grace.
