6th Kyu Syllabus | Levels 1, 2 & 3 | Shihan Michael Monaco | IFK Arizona Seminar

During the IFK Arizona Seminar, Shihan Michael Monaco (8th Dan), President and Founder of USA-IFK, teaches the IFK Kyokushin 6th Kyu syllabus as it is performed at Levels 1, 2, and 3, explaining the purpose of each training level and how they develop timing, rhythm, and technical precision. Topics covered include: • The purpose of Levels 1, 2, and 3 training • Cadence, breathing, and synchronization • Timing and rhythm development • Maintaining full power at every training level • Transitioning from technical practice to fighting speed • Completing each technique without sacrificing form • Building kihon fundamentals that carry over into kumite Rather than simply demonstrating the syllabus, Shihan Monaco explains why each training level exists and how varying the timing between techniques develops better rhythm, coordination, and fighting application. All seminar demonstrations were performed by Senpai Dominic Veltre under the direction of Shihan Michael Monaco. Special thanks to Shihan Bill Schrader, Sensei Omar Covarrubias, and the members of Kaizen-Kan Dojo for their hospitality.
