"Yin-Yang," the art of thinking in pairs, perceiving in the night the coming day and in the day the approaching night, and the art of basing one's actions on this alternation, which is the very rhythm of life, to rid oneself of the sterile contradictions between body and mind, visible and invisible, boys and girls, and to rediscover a more joyful and effective vitality. Writer, lecturer, and consultant on ancient and modern Chinese culture, Cyrille Javary, a field sinologist, has published more than 15 books on Chinese culture, notably "Yi Jing, le classique des changements" (Albin Michel 2002), a translation of the foundational text of Chinese thought that revolutionized the understanding and use of the Yi Jing. Since 1985, he has directed the DJOHI Center: an association for the study and use of the Yi Jing, which organized an international symposium on the Yi Jing in June 2014.
