Pokemon Card Edge Repair, Fix with Straw

Link for clamps: https://amzn.to/4vDtUgy In this video, I walk you through how to fix a crimped or bent edge on a trading card. I recently picked up a Zecum card on eBay that had a crimped edge where the layers of cardboard were turning out. Because the face and back have a glossy protective coat, you can't fix this issue from the surface—you have to approach it through the raw cardboard on the edge. I’ll show you a simple DIY method using humidity and pressure to flatten the edge without damaging the card. In this tutorial, I cover: The Diagnosis: Identifying crimped edges where the cardboard layers (front and back) are separating or waving. The Humidity Hack: Using a simple straw to blow humid air directly into the raw cardboard edge to soften it. Protection is Key: Why you must use a brand-new, fresh penny sleeve to avoid debris causing indentations during clamping. The Clamping Process: Placing the card in a card saver and clamping the specific spot for 15-20 minutes. The Result: Checking the card to see how the edge flattens and blends in with the rest of the surface. ⚠️ Important Note: When using this method, ensure you do not angle the clamp in a way that bends the card permanently. Also, once the card looks flat, stop working on it—you don't want to push the materials too far.
