Having a back up facility is on of the major features in any database systems. It is the corner stone in securing valuable data from lost or damage. Microsoft did indeed changed the way Access uses to create a full back up since Office 2010. Nevertheless, user still capable of creating such a back up using VBA code which overrides the typical method. So, you may not need to close all Access objects and end other users sessions... and the like.
