Borneo 3

Part 3 in the series of a bucket list trip to Sabah in Borneo. Here we visit the Gomantong Caves and the Kinabatangan River. We stayed at the Kinabatangan Wildlife Lodge. Very pleasant, good value for money and comfortable accommodation. Rooma also have air conditioning which is vital for a good nights sleep as its very humid otherwise. All meals included which were tasty. My daughter is vegetarian so these options are also catered for. There are no restaurants nearby apart from a small shop in the local village. The Lodge is not on the river but in some forest. Easy walking distance of 650 meters to the boat jetty. The main reason I chose this accommodation was the proximity to the Gomantong Caves (22 km) but was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed staying here. There are boat cruises early morning, late afternoon and night cruises. You can decide which options you want. They can also arrange a night walk in the forest around the lodge. The staff and owners are very accommodating and pleasant. https://www.booking.com/hotel/my/kina... Camera: Canon R6 with RF100-500 lens. (Camera kept on overheating in the heat and humidity while filming so I've traded it in on the R6 mk2. Hope I don't have that problem again. Otherwise it is a great camera.
