Road Whispers — Into the Long Night | Norway

Continue the Road Whispers collection:    • Road Whispers   — Scene Ten | Road Whispers — Into the Long Night was recorded during a winter drive through Norway. It had already been a long day on the road and by the time I reached this stretch of mountains I was exhausted. I didn't feel like setting up the camera. I just wanted to sit inside the car, listen to the music that was playing and quietly enjoy the view. The sky was unlike anything I had seen for days. Soft pink and purple colours drifted above the snowy mountains while the last light reflected across the fjords. I knew those colours wouldn't stay for long. Before I finally assembled the camera rig, I reached for my phone and captured a few quiet moments instead. They eventually found their place in FRAGMENT. By the time everything was ready, most of the colours had already faded. For a brief moment I thought I had missed the evening. Looking back, I don't think I did. The road continued into tunnels, deep blue darkness and long stretches of winter night. The sky may have changed before I was ready, but perhaps that was always part of the journey. Some moments ask to be remembered. Others simply ask to be experienced. — Stryn, Norway A chapter from Pale Orange Dot.
