When Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) came to Sylhet, he was accompanied by a companion named Shah Miskin Shah. He was ordered by Shahjalal (RA) to preach the religion to the head of Masha Khali Union in Gafargaon Upazila Township and its neighboring areas and it was here that he breathed his last. Here is his tomb. Every year on the last Wednesday of the month of Bengali Ashad, Ors is held by devotees from all over the country and a huge fair is held there organized by the local people. It is known as Mukhi Mela. This is the scene of that Mukhi Mela. Over the ages, many great men have appeared to spread the message of religion and peace. It is through their hands that the religion of peace in the world got its life. They are called by different identities in different religions. We call them Pir Auliya Bujurg in Islam. Deen Islam has been propagated in the subcontinent by their hands. There are many types of fairy tales surrounding them. Hazrat Shah Miskin Shah is such an old man. There are many legends about him in various places including Shihatt or Sylhet. All such miraculous beliefs and stories are still legendary in the face of Mymensingh Gafargaon police station. হযরত শাহ জালাল (রঃ) যখন সিলেটে আসেন তখন তার সঙ্গে শাহ মিসকিন শাহ নামে একজন সহচর ছিলেন। তিনি গফরগাঁও উপজেলা জনপদে মশা খালি ইউনিয়নের মূখী ও তার পার্শ্ববর্রতী এলাকা সমুহে ধর্ম প্রচার করার জন্য শাহজালাল (র:) কর্তৃক আদিষ্ট হন এবং এখানেই তিনি শেষ নি:শ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন। এখানে তার সমাধি আছে। শাহ মিসকিনের সমাধিকে কেন্দ্র করে তাঁর স্মরণে প্রতিবছর বাংলা আষাঢ় মাসের শেষ বুধবার সারা দেশের ভক্তবৃন্দ কর্তৃক ওরস অনুষ্ঠিত হয় এবং এলাকাবাসীর আয়োজনে সেখানে বিশাল মেলা বসে। এটি মুখি মেলা নামে পরিচিত। এটি হচ্ছে সেই মুখি মেলার দৃশ্য। যুগে যুগে ধর্ম ও শান্তির বাণী প্রচারে অনেক অনেক মহা-মনীষীর আবির্ভাব ঘটেছে। তাদের হাত ধরেই পৃথিবীতে শান্তির ধর্ম পেয়েছে প্রাণ। বিভিন্ন ধর্মে তাদের বিভিন্ন পরিচয়ে অভিহিত করা হয়। আমরা ইসলাম ধর্মে তাদেরকে পীর আউলিয়া বুজুর্গ হিসেবে অভিহিত করি। উপমহাদেশে তাদের হাত ধরেই প্রচারিত হয়েছে দ্বীন ইসলাম। তাদের ঘিরে রয়েছে নানা ধরণের লৌকিক কাহিনী। হযরত শাহ্ মিসকিন শাহ তেমনি এক বুজুর্গ ব্যক্তি। তাকে ঘিরে শীহট্ট বা সিলেটসহ নানা জায়গায় নানা লৌকিক কাহিনী প্রচারিত আছে। ময়মনসিংহেংর গফরগাঁও থানার মুখীতে তেমন অলৌকিক সব বিশ্বাস ও কাহিনী এখনো কিংবদন্তি।
