The horse's reactions in this video are insane! Negative and positive examples! If you want to learn to ride well and in a horse-friendly way, you should practice these instructions with your horse today. Smooth, well-prepared transitions! This will keep your horse well-rounded in transitions, guide its body through the reins, and help you achieve harmonious transitions from gait to gait. In this video, you'll learn how to give aids and the interplay of leg, cross, and rein aids so that you can achieve smooth transitions that are understandable for the horse. This knowledge is also a prerequisite for training horses at a higher level. In this video, I'll also show you why the correct canter aid is so important for the flying change later on. Horses need to learn to understand the rider in order to respond to the aids. During riding lessons, the basics must already be understood and internalized by both horse and rider. I'll also show you riders' mistakes and the appropriate corrections. Unfortunately, when I pointed out the mistakes, Schoko took it very badly and immediately threw his neck. Good for you, because I was able to show you the throwing, explain it, and also suggest a correction for it. In this video, you can see again how important a rider's seat is, supple, balanced, and responsive to the movement. The horse's reactions are incredibly clear. In this video, I'll answer questions like: How can I... trot from a walk? canter from a trot? canter from a walk? halt from a canter to a trot? halt from a canter to a walk? And, of course, at the end, you'll get another mental tip from me on how to improve your seat and learn to ride with more feeling for the horse. ;) I'll also show you the flying canter change and why the basic training for it is so important. ;) To train your eyes: Here you can see the mistake it looks like when a horse tries to lean on a rein by holding its back rigidly. If you watch Schoko closely, you'll see that while trotting on the right hand, he repeatedly bobs his head upwards. This isn't lameness in the legs, but rather a rigid, tense back. This is what it looks like when a sensitive, hollow horse tries to lean on the left rein. I was to blame for this, because while warming up, I also tried other mistakes that I wanted to demonstrate at the walk. However, he immediately resented this and completely closed his back. I quickly got him back to the walk, but in the trot, he only let go after a while, and then he only let go completely on the left hand...until I showed the next mistakes. Then the rejection came along. :( You can also see the tension in the flying change, because he also pushed up the same way when changing to the right...so during the bend to the right, towards the hollow side, he sought support on the left outside rein. Since these are instructional videos, I've naturally left this in the video and will go into it in more detail in another video. We make many more correction videos, and of course, when it comes to straightening, this topic of support on the stiff side rein will also come up in one video. I can only show you properly with Schoko...he's too sensitive. 😉 This video builds on the previous videos from the online riding school Riding Academy by Wolfgang Rust. You only learn to ride by applying and practicing knowledge; you'll gain this knowledge on this channel. ;) All you need to do is subscribe to this... channel, activate the -bell, and -notify your device about YouTube, and you'll always be notified when we post a new video online. Have fun with the new challenges and your horses! ;)
