A fairytale sunset on Capra Peak in the Făgăraș Mountains, at 2,494 m altitude — one of those rare moments when the mountain seems to pause for a few moments in light, silence, and color. Capra Peak is located in one of the most spectacular areas of the Făgăraș Mountains, near Capra Lake, a glacial lake situated at over 2,200 m altitude. From above, the view is impressive: sharp ridges, deep valleys, bare rocky slopes, alpine trails, and wide horizons fading into the distance. It is a place where the beauty of the mountains can be seen in its pure, wild, and untamed form. The Capra Peak area is part of the high alpine landscape of the Făgăraș Mountains, close to the main ridge and to some of the most famous mountain landmarks in Romania, such as Bâlea Lake, Capra Saddle, Capra Lake, and Vânătoarea lui Buteanu. The glacial relief, suspended cirques, alpine lakes, and rocky cliffs turn this part of the massif into a true natural spectacle. The sunset on Capra Peak has a special kind of beauty.
