El túnel secreto que salvó Sarajevo durante el asedio

During the siege of Sarajevo (1992-1995), a secret tunnel under the airport became the only hope for thousands of people. Today, we explore one of the most striking places in the Balkans by motorbike. This is the story of the Tunnel of Hope. In this episode of Balkans by Motorbike, we travel to the SPASA Tunnel, known as the Tunnel of Hope, dug by Bosniaks under Sarajevo Airport to break the isolation imposed during the longest siege in modern European history. Between 1992 and 1995, while the city was bombarded from the surrounding mountains, this tunnel allowed the passage of food, weapons, medicine, and civilians. Without it, Sarajevo would likely have fallen. We visit the house that concealed the entrance, walk through the original tunnel, and reflect on what it meant for a besieged city… and what it still means today. This isn't just a motorcycle trip. It's memory. It's history. It's Europe just 30 years ago. 🏍 About the series Balkans on a Motorcycle is a documentary journey where we combine motorcycle adventure, recent history, and memories of the places that shaped the destiny of Europe.
