A Colombian judge issued a preliminary injunction ordering presidential candidate Abelardo De La Esprieta and his party, Defensores de la Patria, to refrain from using the official Colombian national soccer team jersey in their electoral campaign until a final ruling is issued. Candidate De La Esprieta has rejected the order and announced that he will "gladly" comply if arrested for contempt, calling the restriction "blatantly illegal." "Who are Mr. Iván Cepeda and Mr. Gustavo Petro to tell us what we can do or whether we can or cannot honor our national symbols and wear them with pride?" the candidate questioned.
