Mercedes-Benz eCitaro G fuel cell w Poznaniu! Nowy Solaris Urbino 18 electric - TEST MPK POZNAŃ
Hello! Today's promised video of the test buses. The first is the Solaris Urbino 18 electric – well, exactly... a slightly newer version. It has larger batteries and no pantograph. The electronic mirrors, or rather cameras, are interesting, as well as the slightly newer steering wheel and blind spot sensor. The Mannheim invention is, in my opinion, much more interesting. Admittedly, the mirrors are conventional, and the dashboard is almost analogous to the Conecto model, although the 360-degree camera is a real eye-catcher. In my opinion, the Mercedes is more comfortable, and Poznań should pursue this direction. It must be admitted, however, that the Solaris demonstrates an improvement over the electric models currently in regular service. However, we feel that both buses are quite noisy for electric vehicles. We also quickly pop into the bimba in Rataje. Helmut, which serves as the Przystanek Kebab & Caffe restaurant, looks really nice. There are also clips from line 97. The video doesn't discuss technical details; it's simply our opinion. In the film, I'm accompanied – not always seriously – by Monszi and Popej. I thank the drivers for the opportunity to record, and send my warmest regards. Enjoy! The manufacturer reports that Solaris The Urbino 18 electric, built on a new driveline architecture and the latest battery technology, guarantees all-day operation and exceptional efficiency. How does the vehicle perform on public transport routes? This is being verified by MPK Poznań services during tests. "The Solaris Urbino 18 electric, with its modular driveline design and equipped with the latest generation of batteries with a capacity of up to 800 kWh, is our company's next step in the development of electric bus technology. It is a zero-emission, exceptionally quiet vehicle that ensures safety and comfort for both passengers and drivers, while offering an impressive range and operational capabilities," says Mateusz Figaszewski of Solaris Bus & Coach. "An electric bus with the soul of a marathon runner. This is possible thanks to the combination of the latest generation batteries and a compact fuel cell" – this is how the manufacturer describes the eCitaro G fuel cell. Passengers can see for themselves how the vehicle performs in city traffic: since Saturday, the latest Mercedes bus has been carrying passengers. During the tests, it will be used on routes 169, 185, and 190. "MPK Poznań is the first company in Poland to test our hydrogen-powered bus concept," says Alexander Skrzypczak of Daimler Buses Polska. "The eCitaro fuel cell combines the features of the proven Citaro with the latest electromobility technologies. Mercedes-Benz has combined the reliability, economy, safety, and ride comfort of the popular low-floor bus with the latest generation of high-performance batteries and a highly efficient fuel cell. This results in a range of up to 400 km without recharging," he adds.
