2001 Triumph Bonneville Fuel Leak
I make these video's to help me remember what to do the next time, so this one includes tips and reminders on how to get the carbs out and apart. Skip along to near the end if you just want to see the cause of the fuel leak. If the material of the O-ring is incorrect, it can shrink over time due to the presence of alcohol in the fuel. Viton or PTFE based O-rings do much better at sealing alcohol laced fuel. Replacement O-rings will need to have about 10-20% compression in a cavity of 9mm OD, 6mm ID and 2mm Width. So a 1.8mm Cross Section Diameter O-ring, between 5.5 to 6.0mm ID would work.
