Last Swim at Crater Lake Before 2026 Closure | Cleetwood Cove Trail Hike (Oregon)

Crater Lake is closing access to swimming until 2029, so I hiked the Cleetwood Cove Trail for one last swim in the clearest lake in the United States. This is the only legal access point to swim in Crater Lake National Park, and with the upcoming closure, this may be the last chance for visitors to experience it for several years. They are improving the trails' retaining wall, improve trail walkability, installing restrooms at the bottom and much more.
