Protocols in the Morning Light

Protocols in the Morning Light is a shadow-art music video about the silent pressure behind international collaboration. Set against a surreal Montréal of river fog, Old Port streets, bridges, council chambers, skyline silhouettes, and morning trains, the video follows a technical delegate through the unseen chess match of global search-and-rescue diplomacy. Inside the room, every pause matters. Every word carries weight. National pride, technical precision, political strategy, friendship, and shared responsibility all move across the same invisible board. Inspired by the layered silhouette storytelling of *The Tale of the Three Brothers*, this video uses stop-motion shadow art, paper-cut architecture, hazy light, and miniature cityscapes to turn Montréal into a living metaphor for the work behind global cooperation. There are no triumphal speeches here. No flags raised in victory. Only people from different nations working through language, procedure, pressure, and competing priorities in pursuit of one common purpose: helping make sure that when someone is lost, the world can still hear them. So that Others may Live. “Tomorrow resets the board.” #ProtocolsInTheMorningLight #Montreal #ShadowArt #StopMotion #PaperCutAnimation #SearchAndRescue #CospasSarsat #InternationalCooperation #MusicVideo #SurrealAnimation #CanadianMusic #OttawaArtist
