Our journey to Kudal in the heart of Konkan was nothing less than magical—a perfect blend of devotion, tradition, food, and peaceful village life. 🌴✨ 🪔 Day 1 – Divine Beginnings & Spiritual Vibes We started our day with a visit to the sacred Brahman Dev Temple, a place deeply rooted in faith and surrounded by pure natural beauty. A special inauguration ceremony was ORGANISED, where the main entry door was opened with traditional Garhana rituals (Garhāṇe (गाऱ्हाणे) is a devotional prayer where devotees humbly present their concerns, wishes, or gratitude to the deity. It’s like a heartfelt appeal or submission in front of God, spoken aloud in a traditional, emotional tone. This practice is deeply rooted in the Konkan culture, especially in village temples., marking an auspicious beginning. The atmosphere was filled with positive energy, devotional chants, and the presence of many devotees who gathered to witness this important moment. 🙏 Along with this, a newly constructed stage was also inaugurated, followed by a peaceful and spiritually uplifting pooja. The entire temple area felt alive with devotion and unity. After the rituals, Mahaprasad was served to everyone—simple, pure, and full of blessings. 🪔🍛 What made this experience even more special was the location of the temple. Surrounded by dense greenery and situated near the historic Dhamapur Lake, the place offered a calm, forest-like atmosphere. The cool breeze, natural sounds, and scenic beauty created a truly divine connection between nature and spirituality. 🌿💫 ============================================================================= 🐟 Day 2 – Konkan Food, Family & Nature Day 2 was all about experiencing the real Konkan lifestyle. ❤️ We visited the local fish market in Kudal, where the freshness and variety of seafood truly reflects the coastal culture. From Surmai (King Fish) to Bangda (Mackerel) and fresh Prawns, every catch was vibrant and full of life—straight from the sea to the market. 🐟🦐 After bringing the fish home, the real magic began in the kitchen. My mother and aunty prepared authentic Malvani cuisine, using traditional spices, coconut-based gravies, and homemade masalas that define Konkan food. 🍛🔥 The aroma itself was enough to make anyone hungry! Every dish carried the taste of tradition, love, and years of experience—something you just can’t find in restaurants. Later, we spent beautiful moments with family near a small pond hidden inside the forest, a peaceful spot away from the busy world. Surrounded by trees, fresh air, and the soothing sound of nature, it was the perfect place to relax, laugh, and create unforgettable memories together. 🌳💧 =============================================================================== 🌴 Conclusion This 2-day journey was more than just a trip—it was a complete Konkan experience.
