#Fashion #Lunch #Sewing #ShojinRyori (Buddhist Vegetarian Cuisine) Why not treat yourself to a wonderful lunch experience that’s out of the ordinary? It is rare to find a restaurant where such meticulous care goes into every single dish. You might worry that a meal without meat or fish would feel lacking, but the flavors—while subtle—are incredibly rich and satisfying. It was a truly blissful, luxurious experience to see such exquisite cuisine created using only seasonal vegetables. Introduction From the entrance of "Daigo" to the private room: 00:00–01:24 Making the dress: 01:25–20:23 The meal: 20:24–26:24 Whether it concerns food, clothing, or how we live, we currently inhabit a world of great convenience, where lifestyles that avoid time-consuming effort have become the norm; consequently, the way I choose to live might seem to go against the times. My Thoughts When I consider these matters essential to an individual's life, and extrapolate them from the personal level to the state of the nation, I am struck once again by how heavily Japan has come to rely on other countries rather than on domestic production. At first glance, this reliance might have appeared to be a sign of prosperity. Starting in the 1980s, Japan began seeking out and relying on China for its low-cost labor force. However, due to factors such as rising labor costs resulting from China's economic growth and geopolitical risks like the US-China conflict, the "China Plus One" strategy—shifting production bases to Southeast Asian nations like Vietnam and Thailand— has been accelerating. Yet, as the yen has weakened while labor costs in emerging Asian economies have surged, we are now witnessing a "reversal phenomenon" where Japan's labor and factory construction costs have become relatively lower. This leads me to the conclusion that a "return to domestic production" is what will support Japan's future. Revitalizing Japan’s manufacturing sector—once a global leader—while simultaneously safeguarding the "abundant water and nature" that serve as the vital infrastructure of our lives, is the key to Japan regaining "true prosperity" in the future. I am more convinced than ever that it is of the utmost importance for each of us to remain engaged and attentive, ensuring that decisions are made with the national interest and the well-being of the people as the top priority, rather than being swayed by external pressures or short-term gains.
