Trans people in Peru are victims of hate crimes and exclusion. Often, their identity is not recognized in universities or workplaces, nor is it recognized by the State. In his TEDxTukuyWomen talk, Marco Pérez, founder of Reforma Trans PUCP, calls on us to help break down the barriers against trans people and to refrain from discrimination in our daily lives. Just as there was a Trans Reform at PUCP, it is time for a trans reform in Peru and around the world. A visual artist and organizational psychologist, Marco Pérez founded Reforma Trans PUCP in 2015, an initiative that made PUCP the first university in Peru to have an administrative process for the social recognition of trans students.
