Evgeny Belyaev - Soviet Russian singer (lyric tenor). People's Artist of the USSR (1967). Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1978). Evgeny Belyaev was born on September 11, 1926 in the city of Klintsy. At the end of 1944 he was drafted into the Red Army. Since January 1945, he took part in the Great Patriotic War as a reconnaissance observer. For military distinctions in the war he was awarded the medal "For Courage". Since 1947, Evgeny Belyaev has been a soloist of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Carpathian Military District, in 1953-1955 - a soloist of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Kiev Military District, since 1955 - the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army named after A. V. Alexandrov, since 1980 - the State tour and concert association of the RSFSR "Roskontsert" (Moscow). As part of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army named after A.V. Aleksandrov, Evgeny Belyaev performed abroad: in Europe, the USA, Canada, and Japan. As a soloist, the singer performed Russian and foreign classics, Russian and Ukrainian folk songs, and works by Soviet composers. The singer's voice is medium between a lyrical tenor and an altino tenor, sonorous and light, with a transparent timbre.
