I Believed in “Bible Alone”… Until It Didn’t Make Sense
In this video I share a turning point in my faith where something I had believed for years started to break down. Chapters: 0:00 Sola Scriptura - I hit a wall 0:31 Why is there SO MANY different denominations 0:53 Defining the Canon in Christianity? 2:28 Preserving Sacred Tradition (Early Church understanding) 5:07 What I gained from learning about the Early Church 6:46 Realizing the Apostolic Authority 10:20 Sola Scriptura offered me NO Historic Lore 12:20 Jesus PASSED the Authority onto the Apostles 14:44 Reading the Scriptures Vs Living the Scriptures 16:16 Final Thoughts If the Bible alone is the only source of truth then why are there so many different interpretations of it. I held to Sola Scriptura, believing that Scripture by itself was fully sufficient and that adding tradition could lead people away from the truth. But over time I started running into questions that the text alone didn’t seem to resolve clearly It felt like I had hit a wall. That led me into a deeper search not just of Scripture but of the early Church and how Christianity was actually lived out from the beginning. One of the biggest questions that challenged me was this. How did the early Church survive and grow before the New Testament was even fully written and compiled? For the first Christians the faith wasn’t just a book it was something lived taught and handed down through generations. This is where I began to encounter the idea of Sacred Tradition not as something that replaces Scripture but something that works alongside it and helps preserve its true meaning. In this video I walk through the specific questions and realizations that led me from believing in Bible alone to seeing the need for something more complete. Some of the questions explored? Is Sola Scriptura actually taught in the Bible? Why are there so many interpretations of Scripture? What did the early Church rely on before the New Testament? And what role does tradition play in understanding the faith? This video is for anyone interested in Sola Scriptura explained Catholic vs Protestant authority Early Church history Scripture and tradition Exploring Christian truth My goal here is not to attack but to understand and to seek what is true and rooted in Christ above everything else Listen reflect and feel free to share your thoughts respectfully in the comments Stay connected Instagram: / holy.harmonics Linktree: https://linktr.ee/holyharmonics
