Exile Fitness in Maryland is a 65,000 square foot collector's dream, and this walkthrough with owners Brik and Bob is straight fire! This place is a mix of old school and new school like nothing I have ever seen. Version 1 Hammer Strength, prototype Nautilus, Body Masters, Icarian, Prime, Panatta Evo, Arsenal, Tyler Hobson with custom Exile stickers, a German made jungle gym upstairs, and even a Jeep you can lift! I'm a gym equipment nerd and Bob has been collecting for 16 years. It shows in every square foot! Just so everybody knows. Bob has one Nautilus prototype in here that was headed to the dump in 1971. An 88 year old man saved it back then, and now it lives at Exile. That right there is history you cannot buy! Big shout out to Brik and Bob for the full tour and the honest story behind the name. Bob was running personal training in five different gyms back in the 2010 era. Every single time Planet Fitness moved in, he got pushed out. One day driving down the road he said out loud, I feel like I am in Exile. That is where the name comes from. And that is why every real gym owner needs to watch this video! The culture in here is unreal. Members police the place. No plates left on machines, hoodies still sitting where you left them a week later, a cash box on the honor system for change.
