After 6 Years, My Lanolin Undercoating Is Still Going Strong! Surface Shield, Fluid Film. I have sprayed these trucks with a lanolin undercoating for over 5 years now. So in this video we are taking a look at what the bottom of each truck looks like. One truck was sprayed with Blaster Surface Shield last fall. The other truck I applied Blaster Surface Shield to 2 years ago and didn't spray it last year. Overall the Blaster Surface Shield has no issues lasting 2 years without re-coating as long as you keep an eye on the undercarriage like you should be.
