Very unusually for me, I'm actually stuck bang in the middle of a rather large pile of work, but I had this feeling, and decided to roll with it, and commit it to tape before it fled. This is the result! This is my humble tribute to the inimitable genius that is Jimi Hendrix. It was hearing someone play Jimi's music when I was 11 that hooked me on the electric guitar. I've been listening non-stop, ever since! I can't even come close, but here's a little attempt to play something in Jimi's style. I've always been pretty lucky in that I can usually mimic a guitarist's style pretty well when I commit myself to it. But Jimi - it's impossible. I've tried time and time again, and his trademark phrasing, slinky bends, soulful vibrato and natural fluidity on the instrument is so incredibly unique, it sets him apart from every other player out there.
