Yankadi-Makru
A rhythm from Guinea, Yankadi-Makru is a dance of seduction for young people, though older adults may also join. The rhythm combination includes the swinging 12/8 Yankadi with its tertiary feel, and the fast-paced, energetic and binary Makru. There are breaks that allow the dancers to go back and forth between the two rhythms seamlessly.
