Welcome To The Sunday Service ||The Wilderness Experience || Eric Gachukia Isaiah 65:23, Ephesians 1:3, 1Samuel, Exodus 2:11, Matthew 22:13 Genesis 26:1-5, 21:22-27, 22:1-18, 26:12-33, 1Samuel 17:25-27, Isaiah 43:1-19 A place of solitude testing and separation, this is to refine our faith, we have not faced this wilderness faithfully. We are to respond in this wilderness in praise. We need to harken to the still small voice of God. Why go through a wilderness experience, five reasons based on the scriptures 1. We go to the wilderness to seek refuge and protection, Moses was forced to flee in the wilderness, and Jesus was forced to flee to Egypt as a baby. 2. This can be a journey towards prophetic fulfillment. Joseph found himself on this journey as a dreamer. 3. Being in the wilderness is a place of Renewal and restoration as it was with Abraham, we have a responsibility to renew our altar that we left because of a wilderness experience. Our Isaacks could be our comfort zone that can hinder our obedience in the wilderness. 4. Wilderness is a place where we get equipped for growth, Moses was in the wilderness looking after the sheep but was a learning place 5.
