Emory to Alba, Texas on US Highway 69 South #Drive

Let’s take a drive from Emory to Alba, Texas on US Highway 69 South. It is about a nine mile (around 14 kilometers) drive from leaving Emory until we cross the city limits into Alba. There is a bit of traffic on this two-lane highway as we follow a work truck with a trailer heading south as we are. There are fields, trees, homes, bales of hay, and it looks like it has rained recently with standing water in some of the ditches. Alba has a population of around five hundred residents and is in Wood County, Texas. US Highway turns into Greenville Street as we head into the Alba city limits.
