Thunderstorm Camping in the Tankwa Karoo

We have been working hard on getting everything in order for Rolbos and decided to take a weekend off and head to one of our favourite placed in the world the Tankwa Karoo. The route we took we have been wanting to do for a while so we decided to leave early and tackle the Old Postal Route and head down into the Tankwa valley to stay at Die Mond for the weekend. We knew there was going to be rain over the weekend but we were not expecting a HUGE thunderstorm. Luckily we love driving in the rain on gravel roads. It was also amazing to see so much rain in a place that needs it so bad, especially after the huge drought that the Northen Cape has been experiencing over the last few years.
