Today, we had a very special guest on the grill in the cooking studio. Yesterday, Porn caught a large giant gourami from our pond. Weighing in at an estimated 2.5 to 3 kilograms, it was an impressive fish. For preparation, it was traditionally stuffed with lemongrass, bai toey, coriander, basil, and other herbs. Then it was coated in a thick salt crust and grilled for about an hour. We were really looking forward to it, as we had eaten a smaller gourami before and had enjoyed it very much. But this time, the result was completely different. The fish was surprisingly fatty and simply too rich for our taste. Neither Porn nor I were particularly impressed. But that's part of the process. Not every experiment is a guaranteed success. Therefore, there will be no points awarded in the cooking studio today. In the end, at least Adolf and Ella were happy. They devoured the fish with great gusto.
