Upon the death of Nobel Prize-winning author S. Y. Agnon in 1970, his daughter Emunah Yaron continued the work of publishing the books and stories that Agnon left in his estate. For 30 years, until the end of the project, she was honored to publish 14 more volumes of Agnon's writings, thus giving an important gift to our literary culture. Emunah said, "I received a wonderful inheritance, and my father said that there are many more writings in the estate, even more beautiful than what he has already published." She was assisted in her work by her beloved husband, Mr. Chaim Yaron, the late. A year before her death, Emunah was awarded the title of Beloved of Jerusalem. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of her passing, we will honor her memory, cherish her life's work, and recognize her position in the leadership of the Agnon House for decades. They will discuss the "Black Books" and Emunah's contribution to the legacy of her father, Sh. Agnon: Prof. Ruhama Elbag on "Shira" Prof. Ariel Hirschfeld on "Ir ve Meloa" Rabbi Yosef Sachs on "In Mr. Lublin's Shop" Asaf Ofek will read excerpts from Emunah Yaron's illuminated memoir "Chapters of My Life" (Schoken Publishing) and her family members will give memorial services.
