Le temple de Mercure - un travail de romain

Puy-de-Dôme General Council & Court-jus Production http://www.puydedome.fr/archeologie At the summit of the Puy de Dôme, visitors can discover the remains of one of the largest mountain sanctuaries of the Roman Empire, built in the mid-2nd century AD: the Temple of Mercury. This large terraced sanctuary was accessible from the pilgrim settlement at the Col de Ceyssat: the Via Agrippa, an important road linking Lyon, the capital of Gaul, to Saintes, via Clermont-Ferrand, passed through here.
