Here's Why You Need a Hex GS-911 BEFORE Buying a 2nd-Hand BMW

I love my BMW R1200GS Adventure and I would not want to go far from home with my Hex GS-911 scan tool. Apart from diagnosing issues in the bush or assisting with certain service functions, using a GS-911 scan tool to check out a 'new' second-hand BMW motorcycle before you buy can be invaluable. In this video I share three examples to illustrative my point. UPDATE ON THE VIDEO: With the "Enthusiast" license, a VIN slot is only taken up when a ‘Service Function’ is carried out. The user can run as many AutoScans, read/clear as many DTC’s and check real-time values on as many VIN’s as they wish! It’s only Service Functions such as component activation, service reset, calibrations, configurations, coding etc which use a unique VIN slot.
