Burringurrah, the runaway boy - This Place
Mount Augustus is the largest monolith in the world, 2.5 times larger than Uluru. The Wajarri people call it Burringurrah, named after a boy who ran away from tribal initiation. Elder Charlie Snowball tells the dreaming story. The 'This Place' project invites Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to create a short video about a place name, and the story behind it. www.abc.net.au/thisplace #abcthisplace Facebook: www.facebook.com/ABCIndigenous Twitter: / abcindigenous YouTube: / abcindigenous
