We did it! We got past all the emotions at the American border, finally got our motorhome back and shouted “We’re officially back on the Mother Road!” We were ready to explore the living heart of America and see what the stretch between Oklahoma and Chicago had in store for us. But the United States had other plans for us... In the middle of Oklahoma, the sky suddenly turned black, the phones started ringing with severe weather alerts, and reality hit us hard: a giant tornado was coming straight for us! 🌪️😱 We were faced with a radical decision: should we put our lives in danger or abandon the famous Route 66 and run away from the disaster? Our nerves were stretched to the limit in a race against time behind the wheel of the motorhome. Although the Midwest has shown us a tough face, full of ghost towns, poverty and extreme phenomena, this victory is just the beginning of a question that has been tormenting us for thousands of kilometers.
