Jowevators! [Before & After] Dover Traction Elevators - Portsmouth Square Garage - San Francisco, CA

[Recorded 9-30-24 | 7-13-25] These are the elevators are somewhat significant. They are some of the first elevators I rode in San Francisco, the first elevators from SF I posted on this channel, and the first elevators I filmed with my Sony CX-405, which at the time was brand new. These were Dover elevators with Traditional fixtures that recently got a pretty much full modernization by San Francisco Elevator Company with Innovation and EC Pixel controllers. The coolest part about this mod is that I actually built the controllers for the left and the right cars! In this video, I get a final ride on an original car right when the mod started, and then revisit once the mod is complete!
