Vocal Cord Dysfunction
Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD) is often mis-diagnosed as asthma because the patient has trouble breathing. VCD is where the vocal cords close up allowing little air to pass through. In this segment of Focus On Health, Wendy Fabisiak, a speech therapist at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI, explains how VCD is diagnosed and how it is treated.
