2014 Mazda 3 BM Brembo Xtra Brake Disc Rotor Install

DISCLAIMER: This is not an instructional video. This video documents my experience installing two front disc brakes on my car. I will not held be liable if you use this as a guide for your own DIY projects. This video in not sponsored. I own a 2014 Mazda 3, 2.0L Petrol Sport Nav hatchback in the UK. My brakes squeak/squeak when I lightly tap the brakes at slow speed. I thought it was the disc brakes being warped so I decided to replace the rotors. In addition to the rotors, I replaced the brake pad hardware clips and also the rubber boots using a Pagid kit. After the install, I realised my slider pins with the vibration dampener rubbers were sticking on both sides, so I shall replace these soon. After watching other videos on brakes installation guides, I also decided to clean and regrease lot of the components. (Don't use copper grease on any rubber components as petroleum based grease will degrade rubber. Use Silicone based grease for those) During the install, I noticed the brake pads were installed the opposite way round on the front right wheel. The acoustic wear warning was on the outside trailing edge, when it should I'm been on the inside leading edge of the rotor. I think this was the source of the squeak/squeal. This was a great learning experience for me to learn since brakes are a regular maintenance item, so I can do this myself for future maintenance.
