A total of 15 two-piece units from Alstom (Type Be 8/8 TL, derived of the type MP 89 AC of Paris) were purchased for the operation of the M2 line (each 30.68 meters long, 2.45 meters wide and 3.47 meters high, maximum capacity 351 passengers). The bogies have rubber tired wheels, which does not require any toothed rack on the track. The track width is 1435 mm (standard gauge), the power is supplied via a power rail (750 V DC).
