The Regent of Indramayu personally inspected the garbage dump on Jalan Juntinyuat to ensure prompt collection. Following up on public reports regarding piles of garbage on the roadside, the Regent conducted a direct inspection of the Juntinyuat area. The increase in garbage volume after Eid al-Fitr is a serious concern requiring immediate cleanup. Several key points in this effort: Intensive Cleaning: The use of heavy excavators to expedite the removal of accumulated garbage. Fencing: The garbage bin area is now fenced off to encourage residents to dispose of their garbage directly into the bins, rather than throwing it on the roadside. Fleet Expansion: Although the current fleet is limited (around 50 trucks), the government plans to add more units next June to reach the ideal target of 100+ units. Education from an Early Age: Initiating a waste segregation movement at the elementary and junior high school levels so that waste can have economic value and not all end up in the landfill.
