10 Minute Project - Chapstick Holder for Backpack - Beginner Sewing Project that Everyone Can Use

Tutorial for sewing a chapstick holder. This sewing tutorial is beginner friendly, uses very few materials that are all readily available. It is a great scrap buster that makes the perfect little gift for friends, teachers, neighbors, stocking stuffer, or sew one for yourself. The chapstick holder is a thoughtful, pretty gift that anyone with lips would love. This is the perfect project for the A Gift to November Challenge being run by ‪@SewLikeDotty‬ Materials you will need Cotton Fabric like quilting cotton cut 5 inches wide by 9 inches long for the holder Interfacing cut approximately 4 5/8 by 8 5/8 inches (Just smaller than the cotton) For the Tab a square of cotton fabric 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches For the Iron on Interfacing a square cut 2 inches by 2 inches (I like Shape Flex Pellon SF 101) 1 swivel clasp, mine has a 3/4 inch opening - I am using what I have, if I used a smaller opening I would sew a narrower tab. Some type of closure, I use the #20 Plastic Kam Snaps and the handheld press, you could use Velcro, a sewn on snap, or make a buttonhole and add a button.
