Said disease would soon annihilate his sight that was once legally blind. The furour of the Great War, amidst heaps upon heaps of tempests compounding one another in the artist's life, gravely affected his state of mind: the deaths of his mentors, his mother and his beloved son André; the betrayal of his best friend who eloped with his own wife and the ensuing downfall of their marriage; the precarities of his financial situation; his failure to organise a series of concert tours; the ¹ Count Maurice [Marie Charles] (27 July 1910 — 20 December 1941) became an airman during World War II and Companion of Liberation. He was shot down by the Germans during a bombing mission against a column of their armoured vehicles south of Benghazi. ² Henri [Charles Louis Marie] (13 May 1876 — 16 June 1964) was an officer. He became Comte de Jacquelot du Boisrouvay following the former's death. ³ Information unavailable. ⁴ Guy [Amaury Marie Maurice] (1 December 1903 — 26 August 1980) grew up to become an engineer and aviator and part of the Free France movement. Among his children, Albina, is a journalist, media personality and philanthropist. Selon la description de cette chaîne, je ne possède rien dans cette vidéo.
