Пуск ракеты-носителя «Союз-2.1а» с космодрома Плесецк

A combat crew of the Aerospace Forces' Space Forces successfully launched a Soyuz-2.1a medium-class launch vehicle carrying a spacecraft from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk Region for the Russian Ministry of Defense. The launch of the launch vehicle and the insertion of the spacecraft into the designated orbit proceeded as planned. Two minutes after liftoff, the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle was accepted for tracking by ground control facilities of the German Titov Main Test Space Center. At the designated time, the spacecraft was inserted into the target orbit and accepted for control by ground facilities of the Aerospace Forces' Space Forces. The Kosmos-2553 technological spacecraft is equipped with newly developed onboard instruments and systems for their testing under conditions of exposure to radiation and heavy charged particles.
