In this video, I installed 3M CR70 Crystalline film on the windshield of my Tata Punch EV 2026 to improve heat rejection and AC efficiency in extreme 40°C weather ☀️ Why did I choose the premium 3M CR70 sun film for the windshield of my Punch EV? It all comes down to one hidden spec: IRER vs. IRR. Most sun film brands boast a massive "97% IRR" (Infrared Rejection) on the box. But here is the catch—that is just a marketing trick that measures a tiny, specific slice of the heat spectrum. In this video, I break down why IRER (Infrared Energy Rejection) is the true "gold standard" you should be looking at. IRER measures the heat rejected across the entire infrared spectrum (780 to 2,500 nm), AND it accounts for the heat your glass absorbs and eventually radiates back into the cabin.
