Mahima Ranga cattle fair in Bengaluru, India

A short glimpse of a traditional cattle fair held near Bengaluru in the South Indian state of Karnataka. This fair is held near Dabespet, about 40 Kms from Bangalore. The cows' horns are decorated with red embellishments and a trio of Kannada women dressed in sarees look a little out of place. Perhaps they are here as tourists or even to transact in their bovine stock...? The cows and bulls here seem to have straight upright horns almost like antelope! Why would that be?
