Scottish country dance "Strip the Willow"
Strip the Willow is a traditional Scottish ceilidh and country dance done in a longways set, usually with four or more couples facing each other. It is especially associated with social dancing at weddings, parties, and ceilidhs, where it is often one of the most energetic dances of the evening. Sources describe it as an old Hebridean or country dance, and one account says the tune appears in manuscript form as early as 1734 under “Drops of Brandy.”
