The National Police activated an arrest warrant against Antonio José Álvarez Henríquez, president of Barcelona Sporting Club, as part of the investigation known as the "Goleada" case, following a court order for the pretrial detention of five individuals linked to the case. The operation also includes his brothers Aquiles David Álvarez Henríquez, mayor of Guayaquil; Xavier Mario Álvarez Henriques; as well as Fernando Patricio Peñaherrera Venegas and César Emilio Bravo Ibáñez, who are named in the arrest warrant in this criminal case concerning the alleged crime of money laundering.
