Whether it's magnesium for sports, melatonin to help you sleep, or the trendy ashwagandha supplement for stress relief: almost half of all people in Germany regularly take dietary supplements. But are you actually getting what it says on the package? Since dietary supplements are legally classified as food and not medicine, they don't undergo any government quality control before being sold. Manufacturers are solely responsible for safety. Sounds like a lottery? Unfortunately, sometimes it is.
